Here is what some of my students thought about our read aloud book Peter and the Starcatchers. They wrote their own book reviews to share their thoughts on the story.
I loved the book Peter and the Starcatchers because the author used great detail.In the part were Peter rescued a mollisk named Fighting Praun he was about to get killed by Black Stache.I never wanted to put the book down because you never knew if Fighting Prawn was thankful for it until the next chapter.I also loved it when the author explained how Peter got knocked out by Slank (a bad guy) when Peter was looking in the trunk that has starstuff in it that can make you fly(everyone is after it in the story).I would recommend this book to people who love fantasy because this book is adveturouse,humorous,and it is the world for fantasy lovers.
Peter and the Starcatchers is a really good book.I give this book five stars!I would recommend this book to a person who likes adventure and fantasy!The two main characters Peter and Molly are very brave and adventurous kids, especially when they are exploring the forests of Neverland.This book is also very much like a fairy tale because of the flying and Star Stuff.I would recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy because it has lots of magic and flying.:)
I liked Peter and the Starcatchers because it was really exciting. For example, Peter and the other boys had to fight Slank and the other pirates. I also think it is exciting because at one point Peter gets the star stuff and then he can fly.The last reason is because the description and excitement made me feel like I was in the the book with them and all of the adventure. I would recommend this to anyone who likes fairy tales because it is very much like the movie Peter Pan and it is a lot like a fairy tale. I think lots of people like them because they are really good stories.
I like the book Peter and the Starcatchers because there are a lot of supporting characters in the book, for example Alf helps Peter whenever he is in trouble like when Alf tried to save peter’s life from Mr.Grin. The second reason why I like the book is because there are a lot of bad characters included in the book. It makes me like the book because it just makes me want to read more and not stop. for example, Slank almost kills Peter on the beach. I would like to recommend to those readers who read a lot of adventurous because Peter and the Starcatchers is adventurous like when they went to a mysterious island where they meet the Mollusks.
I liked the book Peter & the Starcatchers because it has humor & adventure. Those are the two subjects I like because humor adds some fun into the story like Smee for example, he is always fun to listen to ,& adventure adds some “OH NO!” and the “OH NO!” is the thing that is interesting. An example of th “OH NO!” is when Slank hit Peter on the head with the club and he was going to drown I did not know what was going to happen. I would recommend this book to my little brother Gavin and to anybody else who likes them also because he loves a funny story.
I loved the book Peter and the Starcatchers because because of all the excitement and mystery. It just made me want to scream when I had to stop reading.It was awsome to to read a fantasy book with all the emotional characters, like Slank, who is a very feirce evil man.There were lots of different feelings I had at the funny and scary parts, like when Slank threw the knife at Peter, I thought that he was going to die. That book was a great choice to read out loud.I would recommend this book to all the fantasy lovers out there,because it has Flying,fighting and alligators, all the things a fantasy reader would love.
I liked Peter and the Starcatchers because it has a lot of action and I love action stories. I also liked it because Peter is just like me because he wants to be older than everyone else. And another reason is we each are adventures like when Peter went on the Never land and I went on a plane on the way to Hawaii those were each ex of how we are adventures. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading because they will like reading even more. And it a good book because it has a lot of action and almost everyone likes action.
I liked the book Peter and the Starcatchers in parts of the book, and I didn’t like it in some parts of the book. Here is one reason why I liked the book. I liked the part in the book when Black Stache took over the Wasp. The reason why I liked that part is because it tied me in so I didn't get bored. Here is one reason why I didn’t like the book, I got bored at the start of the story because all the author was talking about was what was happening on all three ships the Wasp, the Neverland, and the Sea Devil.The information with no real action made me feel bored. But overall, I liked the book more then not liking it. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy stories and pirates. The reason why I would recommend this book to people who like those things is because it has a lot of it in it.
I enjoyed Peter And The Starcatchers and here’s why. First,the details were great. For example, when Peter tricked Slank,by having the trunk empty and slank thought it was full. Plus you want to keep reading and never put the book down. Next,I loved the heart stopping moments between Molly and Peter.When Moll got jealous because,Teacher the mermaid was trying to help Peter with a plan to save Molly, but to Molly it look like she was trying to take him away,(in the end you find out Teache was only helping or was she.) After that, I loved all the surprises they gave you. For example ,how you thought Mr.Grin was a shark or a monkey,then they tell you he’s a alligator. Last, I loved the word choice they picked because,(i will try to remember.) ”I will miss you for ever Peter,come and visit.”Molly said in sadness. I recommend this book to people who love a detailed,adventuress,heart stopping,drama,and a surprise story. why, is because when you read it you get lost in the book,feel like you are there,and keep reading on!.

I like Peter and the Starcatchers because it is humorous, like when Smee can't keep his pants up. Its a book that starts up faster than other books. For example at the beginning of the book it only takes two or three chapters to get into the action. I would recommend this book for someone that likes reading long because it is over four hundred pages long. If you like adventurous, long, and humorous stories this is a book for you.
I like the book Peter and the Starcatchers because it ‘s adventurous. For example, Peter escaped from the Never land while traveling to King Zarboff the 3rd to be his slave on a island in the middle of the ocean. Who would want to do that? In another part of the story the boys and Alf get trapped with Mr. Grin. He is a giant croc that eats anything that goes in it’s cage. I also like the story because they make really good stories that blow your mind away. Also, it is fun to read because they make up stuff like star stuff. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure because it’s at Mollusk Island. That’s where they live and all the adventure happens .
I recommend Peter and The Starcatchers and I recommend it for people that like fantasy because they use magic in the story to make them do weird stuff like flying, making animals turn into sentars and I like it because it has a lot of action and is very adventures because when Slank tried to capture Molly and when Peter touched the gold trunk and could fly and when Black stache threw his knife and peter caught it
Peter and the Starcatchers is a book that is very adventurous and action-packed. it is action- packed because it has non stop action. ex of adventurous: when Peter and the boys escaped the sinking Neverland and went to Mollusk island. ex of action-packed: when Black Stache stabbed Fighting Pron and when peter cut off Black Stache’s hand.I would recommend this book to someone who likes fantasy books.
